The three days Tibet Our Country Day concluded successfully with a very moving Tibetan Drama enacted from the famous book " The Undying Flame" by the late Mr. Kunsang Paljor la in the evening. The third day began with the arrival of the chief guest Kasur SOnam Topgyal la, a
former chief Kalon of the Exile Tibetan Government along with the dignitaries and representatvies of Dege and BTS, School Principals from Sambhota Bir and TCV Chauntra.The function began with a long life prayer and offering of scarves to His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama's photo.The school DIrector gave an introductory speech about the reasons behind observing this Tibet Our Country Day.The program started with the famous "Drekhar" followed by few class presentations. The presentations were sandwiched between cultural presentations. Refreshments were served by the school Welfare Committee.Before the morning program ended, the results of the recently held painting was announced and the prizes were given by the chief guest. After that, the chief guest Kasur Sonam Topgyal la gave a valuable talk to the gathering. The school Principal thanked the chief guest and all the other dignitaries for their presence and presented a souvenir of school magazines to the chief guest.
After that, the chief guest cut the ribbon of the exhibition room and the guest as well as the staff members were ushered to the Tibet Our Country exhibition. After that, a traditional Tibetan dishes were served for all the guests as well as the staff members. In the evening, a Tibetan Drama was staged.After the 
Drama, the school Principal Mr. SOnam SIchoe la thanked all the staff members especially the Tibetan Department for their wonderful and successful holding of Tibet Our Country Day. Speaking about the Drama, he reminded the students as well as the staff members to do their duties with full dedication.This three days' TOC Day ended fruitfully with everybody more aware of our rich Tibetan culture and tradition.

Tibet Our Country, one of the Major programs in every TCV School,began here. This year being the 50 years in exile, the school had decided to extend the celebration to three days instead of the usual one day.
Tibet Our country Day was first started way back in 1978 by TCV Upper Dahramsala Junior section. This program was started with a strong purpose of educating the young exile children about the Tibetan rich culture and tradition. Since then, it spread to other TCV Schools.
Here in our school. the day began with every body coming in traditional national dress and the singing of the National anthem. The function was attended by the school Director, the Principal, the staff members and the students.
The aim and objective of this day was presented by the chairperson of the Tibetan Department, Mr. Ackloe la.The project of TOC had been carried on since a couple of weeks back. Different classes were given their own theme and topics. Some of the classes were given presentations while some models. The models were displayed in the school hall and would be soon open for all. During the function, some of the classes presented their topics one by one. In between the presentation, the the program organisers had arranged some refreshments of songs, dramas and stand up comedies etc. There was 25 minutes break before the lunch break.Thus the morning program lasted for little more than 3 hours.

The fornight vigorous practice of the marathon was finally flagged off by the school Director, Mr. Ngodup Wangdue on the Gandhi Jayanti or Non Violence Day.The marathon was held among the four houses namely Trisong, Nyatri, Songtsen and Triral. There were 15 runners from each house making the number of the contestants to 60. A lots of crowd had circled the ground to witness the mega event marathon and to cheer up their respective house runners. Out of the two divisions, the girls open marathon( 7 km ) started at 9:10 am.Within 20 minutes, the first runner of the girls came while others came one after the other. This was followed by the boys common ( 10 km).
The first runner came back after 25 minutes. FInally the over all boys and girls' results were as follows :
First Position : Nyatri House
Second Position : Trisong House
Thir Position : Triral House
Fourth Position : Songtsen House
